Patient preference survey results

Before proceeding with the Proof of Concept (POC) of the technological solution, we decided to gather patients opinions and preferences. In order to conduct a study on a broader reference population, we initiated an exploratory survey focused on patients from a large facility specialized in pain therapy. The survey revealed some research hypotheses and areas of focus that we carefully examined before moving forward with the project.

Device Preference: We asked respondents to choose among three wearable devices for biometric parameter detection. The clear preference emerged for a bracelet (band/smartwhatch) or, at the very least, a patch-button. The third option, a t-shirt, ranked last among preferences.

Willingness to Pay: Only one-third of respondents would be willing to pay for the service at a monthly fee of approximately 20 Euros. This prompted a reflection on the business model, suggesting a preference for targeting facilities providing pain therapy services. Providing the wearable device and application as a complimentary asset to their patients could serve as a telemedicine tool, a distinctive element, and a competitiveness driver compared to competing facilities.

Functions: Almost unanimous consent emerged for the Pain Index and Monitoring functions. Additionally, 52% of respondents expressed willingness to use an automatic dispenser (microinfuser).

These insights from the survey play a crucial role in shaping the direction of the project, ensuring alignment with market preferences and optimizing the solution for the intended user base.
